Takashi Murakami is a japanese artist who invented Superflat wich is a vision throught the post-war eyes of japanese teenagers and otaku subculture, influenced by manga and anime, in a pop way.
Murakami was born in Tokio, 1963, he obtained a degree in traditional japanese painting in the National University of Fine Arts and Music.
In the 90's he creates himself by a character called MR. DOB..So he begins to be pretty eminent because his complete mix between japanese contemporany art and traditional japanese art.
His creation includes so much; anime, painting, sculpture, industrial design, and fashion.
Last months a friend of mine went to France and visit the last exposition of Takashi at the Chateau de Versailles and brought me a book with very good quality photographies, in internet there're a little bit of them but the presentation was majestic, with the bottom of the baroque full palace and the very contrasting and no- contrasting overflowing sculptures, there was a beautiful unit!
